Dry air flows through the HRV humidifier through a water-absorbing glass fiber matrix and absorbs the water vapor from the moist surface. This lowers the temperature and increases the relative humidity. From this moment on, adiabatic humidification takes place. This process is very efficient and consumes the least energy of all humidifiers.

The HomEvap Humidifier can be connected to any HRV with a maximum air volume of 600m3/h.

The HomEvap Humidifier is equipped with a certified legionella filter that makes the water legionella safe before it evaporates.

The water consumption is a maximum of 5 l/h. When you use the HomEvap 24 hours a day for 4 months, the water consumption is 14 m3 on an annual basis. The price of water in the Netherlands varies between € 0.84 and € 1.66 per m3, so the costs are a maximum of € 23.24.

During cooling, the maximum electricity consumption is 10 watts per operating hour. During humidification it depends on the set supply temperature, the set point on the control panel and the efficiency of the exchanger. It is estimated that during an average winter the heater will work for approximately 200 full load hours. 900wx200u = 180KWH. This energy consumption is also there with separate humidifiers, but 75% less than with steam humidifiers on electrical supply.

The HomEvap is connected to the water supply and is therefore automatically filled.

This depends on the type of water you have. With hard water, we recommend installing a reverse osmosis filter on the water supply. It is advisable to have the installer carry out a check once a year. With normal use and proper installation, the matrix should be replaced once every two years. We recommend a Nanofilter for poor quality water.
